Go Slower
Go slower. Even slower still. Walk slowly, speak slowly, touch yourself slowly. Make big decisions slowly. Move through your life slowly.
This world is so fast paced. Everyone is rushing towards something, towards some dream or goal or accomplishment.
Moving fast is a sign of urgency and urgency is a trauma response. A fear response that was never truly us, it was programmed into us. The fear of not getting what we want in this lifetime, the fear of pain, of loss. The fear of being alone or not having anything to show for our lives.
When we move too fast we lose touch.
We lose touch with the magic, with our internal truths, with our bodies. We lose touch with our power.
When we slow down we invite sensation to guide us. We can feel and sense the right action, the next move. We can collaborate and co-create with the space and beings around us to create a fuller, more enriched life.
Slowing down is edgy, I get it. Because we actually have to be willing to feel and we are such feeling, sensory beings that feeling can be a lot to handle. We are so used to numbing out and being distracted.
When we slow down we can move through our lives in a more whole, regulated way, we can make decisions from a place of our truth and it gets to be sensual.
Our lives and bodies awaken and become electric, and that energy can move us through this world in an authentic way, our actual energy becomes a magnet for what’s meant for us.
We drop the manipulation and force and trying so hard to make something happen and we just rest back, into ourselves, into the truth of what is and not try to make it something different because we want a certain outcome.
When we slow down, the fullness of the moment gets to come through and the journey gets to be the goal. This step, this breath, this moment gets to be so awake and alive with sensation and love and the depth of our truth that we don’t even care about where we are going, about the next moment, we just get to steep in the richness of this moment.
