“Leveling Up”

All this talk about “leveling up” but I don’t think we “level up” in life.

I don’t think the universe is hierarchical like that. I don’t really even think it cares what we make of these lives. It’s not as personal as that.

Instead of linear movement, always getting better-which feels like a conditioning of our society-I think movement of the natural world looks more dendritic, spiralic, non-linear…

Life energy wants to explore. It pulls back from paths that seem to dead end or fizzle out and it reaches out, into the unknown abyss to forge a new way and figure it out moment by moment. Our movements are in every direction, left, right, up, down, sideways, back and forth.

Energy wants to be everything and it’s going to play that out within you, and me, and every living plant and creature and planet and star. From the macro all the way down to the subatomic and strings and essence energy, the breath, that breathes and animates this whole entire thing we call existence.

It’s a paradox, you know, that the whole universe exists to breathe you and dance you in this very moment, and also, it’s not really about us or our lives at all. The ego wants to make itself important so it spins that narrative. It’s fun to play the game and choose to have goals and want to accomplish something or awaken in this lifetime and also, you are already awake. You are already awareness aware of itself. We are just playing a game of hide and seek.

We are energy, curious, creative and destructive energy that wants to explore and BE EVERY THING and then break it all down and be something else. There is no real right or wrong, there’s no real perfect life script that we need to find or do or be before we die to make our lives meaningful. Just being here saying “yes” to the experience of life is extraordinary. Now go have some fun and let go of exhausting your life force energy in such trivial pursuits like “leveling up.”
